How Allergies Affect the Mouth
When your body reacts to allergens like pollen, it produces histamines that trigger inflammation. This inflammation can extend to the sinuses, which sit above the upper molars. Rinse your mouth or brush after allergy symptoms flare up, especially with post-nasal drip
Avoid alcohol-based mouthwashes that can further dry the mouth
Maintaining regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups is especially important during allergy season.
